Why did they move already?

Why did they uproot the kids and a stable home with beds, places to eat & all of their things if the new house isn’t even move in ready??? It makes no sense. They rushed to move to Texas to live in a hotel??? The poor kids literally have not an ounce of stability in their lives….. and what about the pups!?
