A question about SLAL and JContainers

So I need to use SLAL in order to load some animations into my game, but reading carefully, in the SLAL download page it says that it requires JContainers as a prerequisite. In the guides I've watched it briefly mentions the importance of having JContainers installed but it doesn't say that you need to do anything specific with it. Do I just install it and activate it in my modlist before using SLAL to load my animations or is there more to it?
