Is I&I Duty Worth It for a 3043? Looking for Experiences de

Enlisting

Good morning,

I’m currently in the process of re-enlisting and seriously considering requesting orders to an Inspector-Instructor (I&I) station. I’ve heard a mix of opinions, but I’d really like to get some insight from those who have actually served at an I&I unit—especially from fellow supply Marines.

For context, I’m a 3043 (Supply Admin) and I’m curious about what the day-to-day workload looks like at an I&I station. How different is it compared to a fleet unit? What are the biggest challenges and what do you enjoy most about the assignment? Also, how’s the work-life balance and interaction with reservists?

Any advice, experiences, or tips you can share would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
