Electrician we hired isn't cooperating with insurance
Location: PA
We had a small electrical fire. We hired a licensed and respected electrician company to replace what needed to be replaced. It was inspected and passed.
Anyway our home owners insurance asked for them to sign an affidavit before they will release the funds to me including the reimbursement for the hotel and food we used.
But they are not signing it. The insurance adjuster tried reaching out. We called and texted.
Mind you they have NOT been paid yet by us. You'd think they sign that over immediately to get payment...
So what do we do? Without them, insurance won't give us money and I feel at some point they'd want to be paid for their work?
** I am unsure why an affidavit is needed. I never dealt with anything like this before.
