What if 1999 is just Albrecht’s Duviri?

I’ve had this idea for a while now. What if we aren’t actually travelling back in time to get to Höllvania, but instead, it’s a new dimension created by albrecht? That would explain to me, at least, why the Drifter can “rewind time” every year, and it would explain why the Drifter is the main character in 99 too. We already know that the void can create vivid locations out of nowhere with enough effort put into it, and with the whole Deimos lab stuff that Albrecht made, it would not surprise me if he wanted to make a new dimension altogether. Idk, just a theory of mine
