Told my therapist and he was about to cry

NSFWCW: Suicide

I told him I felt like my parents would be better if I didn't exist cause I'm a burden to them. And yeah we both were about to cry after that lol. I've been feeling like this since weeks but couldn't tell him. I mostly feared the consequences and what he'd think, that he'd feel like he's not doing a good job with me, that he'd get me locked somewhere. And I felt stupid for having these stupid thoughts.

We just challenged that thought and yeah tried to debunk it and the session ended up lasting 2 hours instead of 1. He told me that my parents decided to have children so they HAVE to take care of me. I told him it doesn't seem like it but yeah we found proofs that they want to take care of me and it's just a feeling of mine.

Honestly it destroyed me and Idfk why I feel so guilty and a burden to them, the answer is probably in the way they treated me. The way they treated me got me thinking I shouldn't exist, how cool.
