I might be late for my first credit card payment

Title says it all!

I'm sophomore in college who's had a capital one credit card for two years now and ive never missed a payment.

Due to my work garnishing my wages without my knowledge or signed permission, my paycheck has been short and I needed to use all of it to pay my spring tuition bill. If I didn't I wouldn't of been able to sign up for fall classes.

Anywho, I'm really worried, I know messing up your credit score is drastic to your future and I'm a little terrified. I'm not really connected with my parents so I can ask them to help cover it.

I am going to ask if I can get paid a day early cause it's due the 17th this month. There's only $15 left on it so I'm not toooo worried. I would ask a friend but I feel awful asking anyone for money and it makes me feel indebted and guilty.

Have you guys ever missed a credit card payment? Could I try to get an extension? How bad is this going to mess up my credit.
