Looking for a reliable used car with low upkeep costs - any solid recommendations?
I’m currently searching for a dependable used car that won’t drain my wallet when it comes to maintenance. I don’t need anything flashy or loaded with features, but I’d like something that has good mileage, strong reliability, and won’t need any major work in the near future. Fuel efficiency is definitely a plus, especially since I have a bit of a daily commute.
I’ve been eyeing popular options like the Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla, which seem to have solid reputations. But I’m curious if there are other makes or models out there that are just as reliable or even better value for the money. I recently came into a little extra cash, so I can stretch my budget slightly more than I originally planned- but I still want to be smart about it and prioritize long-term dependability.
If you’ve bought a used car recently that’s been easy to maintain and fuel-efficient, I’d love to hear what worked for you. Are there certain years or trim levels to look for - or avoid? Also open to any tips for spotting a good deal or knowing when to walk away. Just trying to make the most informed choice I can!
