Filing with 1040NR and 1099NEC?

Hi, non-US person here, really confused about your taxes!

I have a friend struggling with figuring out filing US taxes. She was in the US in 2024 on a J1 Work and Travel scheme, and instead of receiving a W2 for filing as most other bits online say, her employer sent her a Non Employer Contribution. While helping her fill out a 1040NR, I realized it was the incorrect form; at that stage she already filled the information in for the W2 on her 1040NR. I'm assuming this is the incorrect (?) way to go about things, but she's Should the amount she earned be filed under a different part of the 1040? Does she need to send the NEC too?

Thanks in advance, the tax process in our country is quite different to this!
