Making video game memes has become my new favorite way to procrastinate

Lately I’ve been spending way too much time making memes out of video games I love (or rage-quit). It started with a couple of inside jokes between friends, and now it’s a full-on hobby. Boss fight too hard? Meme it. Glitchy NPC? Meme it. Emotional cutscene? You already know it’s getting slapped with a dumb caption.

It’s weirdly satisfying turning in-game moments into tiny, shareable jokes—especially when people get it and the comments turn into a group therapy session for that one impossible level.

Also, it's low-effort creative fuel. No fancy editing needed—just a screenshot, a silly caption, and way too much game knowledge.

Anyone else using memes as a coping mechanism for their gaming backlog? Try it here: meme generator
