U-Haul vs Dealership Hitch
Hi all,
So I purchased a ‘24 Forester Sport last year and I’ve been looking to get a hitch installed on it (mostly just for a bike rack). For part and labor, U-Haul quoted me about $350 and the dealership I purchased my Subaru quoted me for around $800, part and labor included.
I’ve been reading about the factory warranty potentially getting voided if some mishap gets tied back to the aftermarket service so I’m wondering if it’s worth it or not to just get the dealership to do it.
I think with the Forester, the heat shield might need to be removed? As well as the exhaust needing to be lowered? Though I haven’t personally checked mine out.
