Tea spilled on MacBook space bar – key still works but feels stiff. Will Apple charge a lot to fix it?

Hey everyone,
So something kind of dumb happened. I had a cup of tea in my hands, and my sister randomly threw a sweet into the cup. A few drops of tea splashed out and landed directly on my space bar (I'm using a MacBook Air M1). The key still technically works, but now it’s really hard to press. I don’t trust myself to take the key off and clean under it because I’ve heard Mac keys can be delicate and annoying to reattach.

I’m wondering if I take it to Apple, will they charge me a lot just to clean or fix that one key? Has anyone dealt with something similar? It’s driving me mad because my index finger literally hurts from typing now 😭. Any advice would be appreciated!
