Need recommendations for DIY gift

I’m looking at the Braun IPL silk models, I’ve done some research on them around here and they seem to be adequate. My wife wants one as a gift to use on her lady bits, probably legs and armpits as well. As far as I can tell these DIY units aren’t perfect but they do work somewhat well. She is fair skinned and white.
