Alright, so I know this place is mostly used for roleplay and other forms of creative writing, but hear me out for a short while.

If one were to take a look at my profile, you'd learn one thing. Well scratch that you'd learn a whole bunch of things, but primarily you'd learn that I'm a submissive who enjoys bdsm, who's spent quite a bit of time looking for an online domme. This has had some middling success. Temporary dynamics that were great and fulfilling, and even more temporary dynamics that were rather awful. I've since graduated from this desire from online domination and have decided to take things more seriously, getting in touch with my local kink community and regularly attending events.

And yet there's something that I miss about the online dynamics, the start of them. That intoxicating feeling of meeting someone new. Someone with a whole world unique to you. The multi-paragraph messages back and forth, the hours long voice calls. No expectations in where things will go but simply enjoying each other's presence. The forming of an emotional and intellectual connection.

I'd like to find that again. Someone to become enamored with and write to. I love writing those long messages back and forth like actual pen pals, sometimes I wish everyone's main method of communication was E-mail.

The topics can be anything. I love the bdsm and kink community, and would love to hear, and share about, experiences within the scene. I love diving into what bdsm and kink means for someone, what drew them to it, what turned them away, or kept them going. I also love learning about people, what makes them unique, what makes them ordinary, what their normal life looks like. And often these conversations have nothing to do with eroticism, the amount of times I've discussed philosophy or racist new England horror writer H.P. lovecraft with dommes is staggering.
