Individuals in a strip mall falsely report my dogs in distress in my car
Colorado Pet Law - leaving your dog in a hot car Is there a law against this in Colorado? Today in Glendale Colorado which I would recommend you try to stay out of, while I was in a small strip mall having breakfast, there are several small businesses there. One is a little ballerina shop, who has a sign in front of their store that says this is parking for the ballerina shop and the community. Many people have parked there because it says community. Some idiot call the police and told them that I had dogs in distress with the windows rolled up and they were afraid they were dying. Well nothing can be further than the truth. 65° here windows were down, dogs doing fine. Except this individual call the police and lie to them. The police come out to me and told me the complainant had lied, nothing wrong with the dogs, but did say that this person told him there were two cars down there with dogs in them and did I have a second car with dogs in them? The police officer also told me that frequently people will make up stories and get the police to jump around about dogs and cars even though there is no trauma. Glendale Police need something to do. So after we got rid of this one 30 minutes later two squad cars pull up again, and this lady gets out and says this individual has called again to say the very same thing. I said why don't you go and talk to her and tell her you shouldn't lie and tell stories to the police that's against the law. It's also libelous. Are they going to do that? Nah. This leads to a bigger question, because it is not all right to break the car window even though people think it is you have to make every attempt to call the police make sure they get there you can't just break into people's cars. But this stupid law in Colorado allows vindictive people like this to manipulate the police department, lie, waste their time not once but twice almost an hour standing here patrolling a parking lot because this person in the store didn't want someone parking in their space.
