Nursing job in Toronto

Why is it so hard getting a nursing job in Toronto right now. I’ve been applying for almost 2 months now and nothing, it’s so crazy because “nursing shortage” where? After graduating school I had no idea it would be like this, I thought that after I would get my license it would be super easy, but it’s not. At this point I’m applying to jobs that are an 1h30min away from me, LTC was never really my goal but at this point why not. I had a nursing interview at sunnybrook yesterday, but they said the position won’t start until AUGUST, what you’re telling me I have to wait almost 4 months to start working and they said it wasn’t even guaranteed because it’s a temporary position and can be ended at anytime depending if the person who’s on maternity leave decides to come back. I literally don’t even know what to do, being at home is driving me crazy, like literally not good on the mental health. I studied so hard in school and now I feel like I can’t even put my hard work to use…. Is anyone else also experiencing this?
