My (38F) coworker (38F) needs advice and help with telling the truth
My(38F) workplace runs short a lot of the time and we keep getting sent a youngish women(38F) to fill in from registry. Our issue is that almost everything she says is a lie, she starts problems and talk behind other people's backs. Her hygiene is poor, she doesn't have custody of her child that she also lies about-things such as him receiving chemo and having every other disease in the book. She is not pleasant, and very difficult to work with. Most facilities in our city have black listed her from working with them.
Here's the thing, I can tell she is incredibly insecure, struggling for cash and just needs help in life. I have a hard time liking her but at the same time she's a human being and I just want to see her do better. How can I be encouraging? Or even offer advice that might be helpful? Even if working here doesn't work out-I don't think she's a fit .. I just want to encourage her to step up and have a more fulfilling life. If that makes sense. Or should I mind my own business? Any one been in her situation? How did people help you?
Side note-were working healthcare and I'm the lead so I already guide the team a little anyway.
TL;DR coworker needs help with not lying, hygiene and confidence. How can I help?
