Help- Destructive tot parents
My tot is sick and the weather is getting too hot to play outside anyways, does anyone have any non-tv time activities? For reference, these are the activities we’ve tried and didn’t work for us:
-he eats playdoh (he doesn’t listen to “no” yet) and throws it all over the house so that’s out -immediately dumps sensory boxes all over the floor so that’s out -gets bored of all new toys in 2 minutes so that’s out -hates bath times/immediately wants out of the tub despite so many bath toys -tears books apart and can’t sit still for a story -finger paints the whole house/can’t sit still to paint so that’s out -has a breakdown when you try to teach cook and ends up throwing the ingredients everywhere
- won’t follow or copy/isn’t interested in learning to do chores or pick things up -throws a tantrum and falls to the ground when you try to hold their hand so going on walks is out, and tries to run away if you let them outside without holding their hand -doesn’t care for stepping stones or indoor balance beams, just ignores them even when demonstrated -doesn’t do puzzles, gets bored and gives up even when parent is playing with him -is scared of balls when trying to play ball inside
Anyone else have a tot that feel like tv is the only thing that doesn’t end in absolute chaos, crying, or risk of harm?? I want to limit TV time while we are spending more time inside but I literally can’t distract him, help!!
