DNR List Question
Little back story. A few years ago, I was returning a rental and hit a car as I was backing up to return the car to the right spot. The car I hit was another rental. That car had no damages and the vehicle I was driving at a dent on the bumper. It ended up being $600+ in damages. They kept my deposit and the department that handles told me I had to pay it all up front or they would go through my insurance. (I wanted to split the payment up into two payments which would take a month to complete). She said she couldn’t accept that and would file a claim through my insurance. Never heard from her again. They sent a letter to my family address a year and a half ago. That I’m just getting as I haven’t been here in so long stating I had 10 days to pay until further notice I can’t rent with them. I just went online to check if my insurance paid them and I see the claim but no action on it. I got into car accident a few months ago and rented a car through the insurance from enterprise no one mentioned anything about it. My question is would they have rented a car to me through the insurance if I was on the DNR list? I need to rent a car while I’m out here but don’t know what’s going on now. I’ve made a reservation and input my license online and everything went through? Does that mean I’m not on the DNR list? Ultimately if this was not paid I will pay the rest of the balance as it’s relatively small and would have paid this long ago had I known. How long does it take to come off the list once paid? Balance is $300 for reference if that matters.
