Season 2 didn’t just break the game – it broke the trust
I played Tekken 8 every single day for a year. I lost to better players. I beat weaker ones. And no matter the outcome – I always knew why.
That’s what made it great. Tekken rewarded understanding, discipline, timing. You could grow, learn, adapt. You didn’t need to win to feel progress.
But Season 2? It’s pure chaos. Spacing means nothing. Defense gets you killed. Everything is a 50/50 blender with Heat Dash on top. And even if you do make the right decision – it doesn’t matter. One mistake, and you’re watching a 70+ damage cutscene.
And I could maybe live with that… if it felt like the devs cared.
But they don’t.
Players are quitting en masse. Streams are dying. Communities are frustrated. Feedback is everywhere – and all we get is silence.
Or worse: Michael Murray blocking people. Not trolls – normal players. People who never even tagged him. Just for being part of the conversation.
And that’s where I draw the line. I’m not just disappointed – I’m furious.
I gave this game my time, my attention, my passion. I respected it. But right now, I feel like a fool for taking it seriously.
This isn’t just a bad patch. It’s a betrayal. And if nothing changes, this won’t be remembered as a bold new direction – It’ll be remembered as the season that killed Tekken 8.
Respect the Frame. Respect the players. Or watch us all walk away.
