Is a 4090 worth the price?
My 3060 is finally starting to poop out after like 5 or 6 years. I'm not as heavily into gaming as I used to be but I would like something that can handle newer releases for the occasions that something interests me. I was trying to find a rog strix 4090 for a decent price or alternatively a legion (my long-serving trooper of a laptop is a legion) but they all appear to be 3k+ which I could feasibly swing but not as comfortably as I'd like, I'd prefer to stay closer to 2k.
Just glancing at best buy it seems the price difference between the 4090 and 4080 tends to be like 800ish dollars. Are there any reliable recurring sales coming up? Any places I can look for decent deals? Any other suggestions? Do we anticipate a price drop relatively soon?
