Traveling back to Canada after almost 6 years! With a new CAD Passport issued abroad in Asia. Any issues travelling back?
I left Canada 6 years back.
I believe 6 years back when you exited Canada by plane at the airport to go overseas (not USA) - the CBSA did not keep records of people exiting Canada, only records of people entering Canada.
Only recently in 4-5 years CBSA has started keeping Computer records of people both exiting and entering Canada via airplane at the airport.
So I am guessing CBSA has no records of me exiting Canada.
Also my new Canadian passport was issued at an Canadian embassy in Asia when my old passport expired while living abroad.
Will I have any problems reentering Canada after 6 years?
I will also be carrying with me 2 expired Canadian passport from last 15 years as they have some VISA on it.
Is it a problem carrying 2 old expired passport + a new unexpired Canadian passport?
One of the old expired Canadian passport does not even have a cancelled stamp on it or the edges cut off or holes punched in it.
As the embassy abroad did not ask for the old expired passport, when they issued the new one.
Is it okay to carry an expired passport on you - without any cancellation stamp on it or edges cut?
Should I take some scissors and cut the edges myself to be on the safe side.
Thanks
