17 inch grips?

Got a phantom 5.5 in a 36in length w/ a baby t grip. I normally like skinnier grips but realized that was mainly bc my putter was too short previously. Was curious in trying out the superstroke 17in grips but can’t really understand the use case?

Is it just counterbalanced? Has anyone seen any real benefit vs a normal larger grip? Would it even fit on a normal putter?

Cant find many reviews. For those who have switched, did it help?
