Is it just me, or are teenagers more disrespectful than usual?

Asking The Real Questions 🤔

I was thinking about this on my way home from work today. But this isn't the first time that I've thought about this.

Today, some teenage boys got on my train and were throwing trash at each other. But when the trash fell on the ground, they just left it there instead of picking it back up and throwing it away. I really don't pay much attention to other people on the train, but seeing teenagers litter like it's second nature pisses me off.

Then, when I was getting off this train to transfer to my next train, some more teenagers blocked the train doors because they were trying to get on the train themselves...Do teenagers not know that they are supposed to let people get OFF the train before they try to get ON?

After this, I'm walking on the platform to my next train and I notice a group of teenage girls are blocking the walkway. So people have to walk on the yellow safety section in order to get by them...WHILE A TRAIN IS APPROACHING. Thankfully, I didn't have to walk by them, but if I did, I would have them told them to get out of the way, and clear a path for people to walk.

Maybe this is just my perspective changing as I'm getting older.

Or, maybe it's that some parents don't know how to raise their children to be upstanding citizens anymore.

I know that there are great parents out there raising great children. But these teenagers' behavior has to be a real problem when you have stores in Boston not allowing anyone under the age of 18 in without adult supervision.
