Getting GDY out

:txt: Question

So the plan was to strip the color, bleach my roots and recolor with a different color. I went for Vitamin C absorbic powder and clarifying shampoo last night and while the hair at my ends has faded by like 20%, it is holding strong. I put the mix on dry hair by the way, left it on for about an hour and a half.

About a week after bleaching and coloring, I put a treatment on top of my hair to seal the color and smooth it. Treatment's instructions said it's fine to do this and the treatment will wash off with clarifying shampoo or gradual shampooing, it requires a gentle shampoo to maintain the length of the treatment, so I went for a color safe shampoo. Instructions say color first, then apply treatment and that if you put bleach on top of it, it will erode the treatment (and it does). I've used this treatment on top of semi permanent black before with great success. I've also used it on bleached blonde hair with great success. This process is no different from my regular process. Strip hair with clarifying shampoo, redye and reapply treatment. This treatment is not on my hair, like I did the baking soda and clarifying shampoo first, then the Vitamin C and clarifying shampoo. Hair feels squeaky clean.

There is no way the bleached hair is stained to that degree, still so vibrant near my roots and along my mid-length.The bleeding was so minimal. I love GDY, used it before and I have no idea what they put in this batch, but it doesn't want to leave. I don't want to grow my roots out too far in an attempt to fade it. I only did the Vitamin C treatment once. I don't know why I didn't get a color remover, I think I'm just scarred by my Color Oops fiasco years ago. I read Color Oops is only for only for permanent.

Should I give the vitamin C treatment another try? How often can I do it? My hair feels moisturized after sleeping in conditioner. It's like I didn't do anything at all.

Is my other option to bleach the color out? I have Good Dye Young's bleaching kit with 25 volume developer. It's been 8-9 weeks since I bleached. 25 volume is the sweet spot for me, lifted with no change to my curl pattern.

I also do not think I could do a bleach bath. I left out my hair line when I bleached, so it's like a reverse peek a boo. I would need to be really precise with my application to avoid lifting the hair around my hair line. I think for all that effort, I might as well try to bleach the color out.

I love the color to death, got complimented like crazy, but my ex chose it (I bought a lot of hair dye and could not decide lolol), we fell out and it's time for it to go and disappear from my rotation for a long time. Help.
