So I got my tattoo done by someone my sister knew  and who we thought was a professional. He ended up lying his way through all my questions and I didn’t find out until after my tattoo was done and he was drunk (after the tattoo) that he was indeed just a basement artist with a fancy set up…. I’ve cleaned it twice a day, maybe 3 times depending on how dirty it is at work, and constant A&D ointment. I don’t have it on in my photos because it was right after a quick wash and I wanted to get clear photos without the ointment accidentally altering them. 

Since it started to scab up/heal it’s itched here and there but nothing more than what my other 2 professional tattoos did when they healed. Now I noticed this weekend this white ring of scabbing is here and looks like the ink is bubbling up in the middle at the top? But the whole tattoo is almost scab solid. Was it infected and healed? Is the tattoo ruined? More importantly, do I need to go see a Dr asap? 

To keep the answers I’m looking for simple, I care way more about my health than a small tattoo, my little science brain would love in-depth explanation on what’s going on with it, but more importantly looking to see if I need to see a Dr ASAP


TLDR; I followed all the proper healing steps I’ve followed for all of my tattoos but this specific one was done by a basement artist, did he ruin it?
