AH! This is my first post on here so sorry in advance for any formatting issues.

My (33F) dad and I have always had a great relationship and we were always close, until I had my son. I think motherhood really made me stick up for myself more and notice toxic behaviors, my dad would always guilt trip me, make me feel like I owed him something and held things over my head which I guess I didn’t realize fully until then.

Anyway, we were no contact for close to a year for him not respecting my boundaries and his response was telling me he was taking me out of his will and I would get nothing (including the house he “bought for me”). He apologized a few months prior to the first 3 screenshots, that blow up happened because I couldn’t go to dinner with him.

Context for texts 1-3:

•	Mike is my mom’s partner, we do not have any relationship but he’s been with my mom since I was 4. He was on a charter fishing boat with my mom, me, my son, my boyfriend, my friend and her son … and lots of strangers - so it wasn’t an intimate gathering and even if it was, I don’t think my dads reaction was ok.

•	My dad referring to my mom kicking me and my son out of the house: when my grandma died, my son and I were living in an apartment in her house so we intended to stay in the house and pay all the bills but my mom had other plans and essentially kicked me and my son out and gave the house to my younger brother (for free).

Fast forward to last month: My dad’s girlfriend calls me and asks me to be in their wedding. I immediately got emotional, said yes and told her I wished my dad would have asked me himself since we have not spoken since texts #1-3. She told me he was scared of me rejecting him. She ordered my dress and my son’s tux and set a date to try everything on.

Fast forward to last weekend: I was to meet up with my dad’s girlfriend to try everything on but CRICKETS. My dad did not reach out to me once to apologize, to thank me for accepting or anything. I cancelled because I felt that we needed to have some conversation prior to seeing him. We rescheduled for yesterday.

Fast forward to this weekend: I received text #4. He never answered and I never heard from his girlfriend so I didn’t go try anything on and it’s been crickets again.

At this point, I don’t think it’s right for me to go to the wedding at all. I don’t think it’s an appropriate time to reconcile and it doesn’t seem like he cares much about me going. He doesn’t have any other children that are in his life (I have a sister who was put up for adoption 4-5 years before me) and I am just at a complete loss. Help! less

AIO: I don’t want to go to my dad’s wedding.
