Beef Stew blocks this season?

So Stewart has been averaging a career low in blocks, rebounds, minutes etc, which isnt all that great. But, he is averaging a career high in blocks this season! (Bottom right, at 1.4 blocks this season, his highest since his rookie year.) I don't watch too many Pistons games, but I was curious if from a fan perspective I could get a reasoning for this change? It seems to not correlate in the slightest lol. Thanks!
