Winchester 94
Is it common for Winchester 94 style rifles to have failure to feed? I have a 1990s production model Winchester '94 and it doesn't always chamber reliably. More often than not especially with soft point rounds when the bolt forces the round forwards from the lifter it gets stuck on the rim of the chamber which is not factory beveled in any way shape or form to improve reliability.
Is there a common fix for this? Is it going to hurt my value if I have a gunsmith or machinist bevel my chamber to improve reliability?
