“They’ll grow up like you, fatherless!”

Me and my sister (gen Z) both remember a movie where a villain character tells somebody, maybe the main character, maybe a side character, that their child will grow up like another character (or themselves?) fatherless. Then some character says “Nooooooo!” And some action happens.

It is notable that we both remember them saying “fatherless” like “Faaadaahleessss”

We’ve thought it was maybe in Harry Potter or LOTR but google and watching clips have been no help! It might be from an older Disney movie even because those could unexpectedly get intense… I’m sure it’s such an obvious answer but I just can’t figure it out!!

It’s been driving us nuts!! So I turn to Reddit.
