Probation: Nickel and dimed
I'm here writing this to just vent truly, I got a DUI last June of 24' and I understand I was in the wrong and hold myself fully accountable. Nobody was injured and no damage to any property, my first offense as well.
Since I've started probation, I've taken the MADD panel $120+ (Fine, I get this one) took a drug and alcohol eval (Not a druggie or addicted to alcohol) another $200, HAD TO PAY to do community service hours another $140, plus the $30 dollars a month for a year for the blower i have to do daily, had to pay easily over $800 doing pretrial another $10 (I know) a month for remote call reporting, $1500 for restitutions and fees, had to pay for gas to go down there over 15+ times it's about a 2 hour drive each way. Money lost from my job etc etc.
All I'm trying to say is for someone's first and last offense EVER to be so harshly judged is absurd, I'm a contributing (at least I try) citizen to society, working on some things to help humanity.
But with all of the money they force you to give (Unless you like jail) I'm not gonna have anything left by the end of this, it can't be ethically legal. Ggs all.
I live near Cheyenne, Wyoming.
