What is this rock

While herding my cows in the wilderness, I came across this rock on the riverbank. I tried breaking it with a nail, but the nail bent—it’s extremely hard. Despite its small size, the rock is very heavy. It sparkles when illuminated with light and does not leave any marks or traces when drawn across surfaces. I’m curious to know what type of rock this might be?
