Happy Hatch Day to Twiddles
Please join us in wishing our Lovebird, Twiddles, a very Happy Hatch Day today, 4/15/25. No tax deduction, but we don't mind.
He was born in the home where we live, and adds great joy to our lives, every day.
I was told by his bird doctor (Veterinarian) that most love birds don't live past 13 years. I call him the bird doctor, so Twiddles doesn't get anxious when we're going to the Vet.
We rescued birds in our home for over 16 years. All the birds we rescued had been abused, and we gave them a forever home. Those birds are at the end of the Rainbow Bridge waiting for our arrival.
Twiddles is a hybrid, a mule from 2 lovebirds we rescued. Since he is twix and tween, we named him Twiddles.
He is still in great health, and the only ability he has lost is flying through the house. He can still fly short distances.
Oh, and he likes to help build Legos, chew newspaper into strips, and he'll chew the mail too if we leave it where he can get to it.
In addition to standard off the shelf bird food, I do make a special mix for him which I call Crunchies, that he eats in addition to the bird food. We also feed him this:
which I can only find at Bezos's place, unfortunately. It is imported from Canada.
