Chances of actually getting citizenship / should I apply?
Here's my case and I wanted to see what you all think is the best path forward.
Came to the US as a student, F1, during that time I was detained and charged for a Refusal to take the alcohol test and they charged me for DUI (stupid decision not to take the test, but not the point here). The DUI charge was dismissed and I was charged for the refusal so I got 1 year of drivers license suspension. The misdemeanor charge from the DUI was dismissed (this was in 2016, no other issues since then).
From there, I got H1-B, then green card and now I can apply for citizenship in a couples of months if I want to. Before, this seemed like a no-brainer. But now, what are the chances of actually getting it?
For what is worth, I have Global Entry - it used to be that every time I travel internationally I would be sent to Secondary (before and after getting the global entry), but hasn't happened the last few international trips, including a couple in the last couple of months where I'm just waved welcomed.
If I apply for the citizenship and it is rejected, is there any chance of risking my LPR? I'm afraid I'll open a Pandora's box if I apply.
