How soon is too soon to introduce rats to be outside of the cage ex. like a bonding scarf?

So I've two boys for four days now, I think it's still too early to take them outta the cage but not sure, also not sure when is best to start taking them out. They don't mind being touched but I haven't tasted the waters on being picked up.
