Gail, Abby, and a Parallel (Slight S2E01 Spoiler)

Gail the therapist says she understands >!why Joel killed her husband but resents him for how.<!

I've been a little dubious about the Salt Lake City scene placed at the start of S2E01, and how it may impact the themes the story are trying to convey.

Then I realise that the writers may have shown viewers >!why Abby wants to kill Joel, but they can still make people resent her for how.<! The golf club will be particularly cruel to a nicer show-Joel. Or maybe it won't even be a golf club....

Both Gail and Abby can be short for Abigail, so it's a really neat parallel if they pull this off!
