Godin Redline (or: Why is it gone?)

While looking at FB (sorry, BC here - no one really use Kijiji or even CL), I can't help but to wonder: Why did Godin cancel Redline? In fact, why did they stop making 24 fret guitars? Are we really buying the "22 fret = better tone?"
