I can’t tell my family about my abuse because they’ll think that’s why I’m trans
When I was 9 I was sent to boarding school while my family was still in another country, there was a lot of inappropriate touching directed at me as well as other things of a similar nature. When I got home my mother and sister noticed there was something wrong me and even asked me if teacher were being inappropriate towards me but I said no and stayed in my room. Fast forward a few years and I’ve joined a new boarding school and I’m starting to dress a little different, experimenting with other boys ( parents definitely didn’t know about this ), and coming to terms with my same sex attraction. But whenever I got home all I’d be asked ‘ are you gay ‘, ‘ you dress like a sissy ‘ etc. as you can imagine my family is extremely traditional and while my mom has made a huge effort to be supportive ( she’s even used my correct pronouns a few times! ) I still believe if she found out she’d force me to go to meetings and do everything in her power to get me to change my mind about being trans.
