As you can see in the video my Amonos are going crazy. They're swimming round and acting very frisky towards eachother.

I think I've heard that this is due to a fresh shed and pheromones. Am I right in thinking this?

I'm also curious about tank sizes for them. There's loads of information online about correct tank sizes for fish but haven't heard much about amanos. My tanks 15G BTW and I was wondering whats an ideal number to keep in a tank that small.

Just don't want to overstock this tank when I have a community 20G with no shrimp in upstairs.

All water parameters are ideal and as you can see it's heavily planted.

They're the cleanup crew for my 6 pea puffers who also live in there. They do a fantastic job of keeping the ammonia levels to 0 when peas are notoriously messy eaters leaving parts of decaying snails in their shells. Amanos make light work picking the shells clean of what the peas leave behind.

I love these guys. I'm amazed how much intelligence a shrimp species can have! They play tug of war with bloodworms and are very social towards eachother.

Thank you for your time!

Amanos with the major zoomies! Am I right in thinking that this is due to mating pheromones after a shedding?
