Should I Ask About Next Steps?

Had a third round interview yesterday, this one was a panel. The first one was a phone screening and the second one was with my would-be immediate supervisor. They didn't mention next steps (is that a bad sign?) and I forgot to ask. Should I reach out to the HR person about next steps or should I just be patient and wait? Thanks!
