do kittens grow out of playful biting attacking?

my kitten is 4 months old and pretty much every night he wakes me up by attacking my ankles/feet. he does it during the day too while he has the zoomies - for some reason my feet r super attractive to him and he pounces on them and bites/scratches them so i have scars all over my ankles. i’ve been told to lock him out of my room at night but i live in a studio so that isn’t an option. and ive tried playing with him with wand toys so that he doesn’t think my feet r toys but it doesnt seem to do anything. will he outgrow this or is this something i should be researching more to train him to stop?
