Taskbar Keeps Hiding Despite Option Being Unchecked

I just installed Windows 11 on my laptop, and everything seems to be working fine. Except for the fact that I can't get the taskbar to stay open. I personally don't like it hiding and I like to be able to see what is open without having to put my mouse on the bottom of the screen.

So, I've gone into Taskbar Settings and Taskbar Behavior and unchecked the box that says Automatically Hide the Taskbar, but it changes nothing. I tried restarting my laptop with the option checked and unchecked. I can't find a fix, and I've googled the problem, not finding any original solutions.

Any help anyone might offer would be really appreciated. :)
