Universal Park Ticket Scam?

Hi guys. I need your help. Recently I was on vacation in Orlando and I had ordered an uber to take us to Universal. On the way, we got to talking with the uber driver that told us he works at the park as a character. We had a great conversation the whole ride since we ended up being from the same town and he offered to give my girlfriend and I free tickets to the parks. He had me write down my name and email address so the tickets would be sent to me. He said that they would arrive April 15th after he called them in that day. He didn't ask for money and showed us his park name tag and shared some stories that seemed to not be fabricated and pretty descriptive. Someone help! Did he lie? I haven't gotten an email yet.
