Career School Advice
I am currently doing an accelerated undergraduate and masters program. My undergraduate is in Bioinformatics and my masters is in data science with a concentration in machine learning. I will be graduating with my masters 2026 summer. I know the job industry is awful right now and I need some advice with my plans. I got offered a PHD position at my college to continue my already funded research lab that I have been working on which uses ai in the medical field, but a PHD take awhile. I am in the USA.
I am wondering if I graduate and not move forward with my PHD how likely is it to find a job right now? I will have 3 years research lab experience as well as my degrees. Is there anything I can do now that can help my probability of finding a job later? Should I push for publications?
Thank you!
