Okay so what happened was I was bringing my PS5 back home after loaning it to my niece for about a month or so, there was no issues with it but on way home my bag strap broke and PS5 fell about 3foot to the pavement, got it home and still boot up fine but randomly started turning off.
I looked online a lot about what to do (warranty had already expired) and saw might be the liquid metal had sloshed from the drop and slowly created a dry spot which it seemingly had so I cleaned it, replaced the liquid, respread it plus cleaned all the heatsinks, the fan and the holes on power supply unit while was open. It seemed back to normal but suddenly started shutting down again without warning and checked there's no dry spot so I'm kinda at a loss now.

Any ideas for what it could be would be helpful cause so far my brain is thinking power supply unit damaged but the fact it still turns on and how long it stays on for is inconsistent makes for very confusing issue. Thought maybe the thermal pads aren't doing their job correctly leading to them overheating but last I checked they all looked intact and not hardened like toothpaste (can't remember where I read that's a sign they need replaced).

The issue is console turning off randomly. Sometimes have to unplug, other times I can just press the power button and other times I have to hold the power button then press it again. Nothing feels consistent so any input or ideas appreciated before I throw it out a window. I've taken it apart 5 times and all the black screws and those 32 silver screws are driving me mad.

PS5 random shutdown questions.
