Roof rack for 2024 Kona EV Ultimate (Canada)

1. Instructions for the Hyundai roof rack quoted by the parts guy at the dealership state: “Do not install on vehicles equipped with Sunroof / Panoramic Roof” [https://www.hyundaiaccessories.com/admin_media_uploads/installationSheets/bef21ac000.pdf]. Yet have read about others managing just fine, with care to install the rear tower/crossbar behind the fully opened glass.

Looking for confirmations here of installation on 2024 Kona EVs w a sunroof.

2. Have read mixed reviews on the Hyundai roof rack. Rack Attack stated their only fit option is with Yakima Sightline towers, Sightclip 83, 50” Jetstream Crossbars, SKS Cores - for almost twice the price of the Hyundai part. Ouch. But…

Should I go with Rack Attack?

Planning to get a lightweight rooftop tent, and might sometimes carry my paddle board.

Thanks in advance for weighing in.
