Referring to JV as "Bon Iver"

Does anyone else get annoyed that with a lot of these interviews/promotional pieces people end up calling Justin Vernon "Bon Iver" like it's his name?? specifically I'm thinking of the trackstar show interview where justin introduces himself as "justin vernon from bon iver" and then the guy later goes "this is bon iver" multiple times.. idk it just feels weird given you'd never say "oh this is the rolling stones" when introducing mick jagger (different level/situation i know but just as an example)
