Can't get the Windows or Android apps to detect my new switch or adopt my new U7 Pro

I just got a Flex 2.5G PoE switch and a U7 Pro AP in today. Hooked the switch up to my router, got internet (yay.) Nothing popped up in the UniFi Android app so I download the desktop UniFi network app. Still nothing detected. I plug in the AP and finally got it to at least see that...but it fails to adopt. I've hard reset each device several times and get the same results. No switch found and the AP fails to adopt. Am I missing something here in the setup steps? I have my old Google Nest wifi hanging off the switch for now so my home can have wifi and my computer is hardwired to the switch as well.
