ARCHIVE - Progress Note 3 - The Misadventures of Mikaela Eriksen

This is being posted early in anticipation of TCOAAL Chapter 3 and avoiding this being considered an april fools joke.

At this rate I may as well spill the tea and reveal a few things I am considering for this fanfic.
So let's get the obvious out of the way first:
-Writing is still ongoing for prelude and Chapter 1. I am still trying to figure out how to handle the 302 lady scene.
--At this point I might rewrite the scene to show Mikaela's plan to make Andrew a saint "backfiring" on her.
-Bits of Chapter 2, 3 and 4 have been written as I sort out my ideas. There may be a reference to that Sanitarium AU by u/TCOA2L_Sanitarium because of a very "explosive" idea I got (may or may not involve demolition)
-The fanfic format is still journals, but with some additional commentary that is set 30 days after the events of the epilogue.
-Cali and Baliaal are in this AU, with the former having at least one appearance in the later chapters and the latter being mentioned as Maria's friend (a very... annoying... one).
--Graves Protocol is the name of this AU's sequel should I ever complete it, though that will likely be unknown until I finish "The Misadventures of Mikaela Eriksen."

And now to answer a very important question:
Why am I writing an entire prelude to this AU? What's the point of including it when you can just start at chapter 1, then do chapter 2, then do chapter 3 and 4? Why do you need prelude to be there? And why are there intermissions?

Okay... I wanted to avoid what Cali did for her mod and try to actually explain how everything came to be and why Andrew is the way he is instead of "Just make Andrew your perfect husband and call it a day with story writing." Mikaela's narcissistic attitudes and ability to manipulate Andrew hits really heavily on him as hes slowly transformed into what every OC would want, a handsome husband.

The only problem? Mikaela needed to figure out a way to cutoff Ashley from his life. While Mikaela tolerated Andrew writing in her journal to communicate with Ashley, she eventually realized that he's still dependent on Ashley and moved to start cutting off Andrew from Ashley's life permanently. Eventually Mikaela resorts to using an amnesia spell on Andrew before escaping the apartment with him, with the spell being programmed to erase Ashley Graves from Andrew's memories. (She learned the amnesia spell from the book in the cultist's room)

Hence why I want to show that development in the fanfic, how Andrew yearns to be back with Ashley and his hopelessness and showing a facade to Mikaela when his manipulation fails. He could have let death consume him, but Mikaela won't allow it.

Prelude is there for a reason, and it will show that slow development of Mikaela's grip over Andrew, while Mikaela's love for Andrew grows by the day. Remove Prelude and it's like every other OC x Canon mod.

And the intermissions are deliberately to tie in all of the missing details between chapter 1 and 2, 2 and 3a, 3a and 3b. Think of it as trying to fill in the gaps of a story.

Here's another question I might be asked:
What's up with the "OC x Andrew posts you've been writing lately? Is it connected to "The Misadventures of Mikaela Eriksen?" Or is it another project?

It's connected to it, but those posts occur months before "The Misadventures of Mikaela Eriksen" events take place and many months before the epilogue. For now it's separate until further notice.

And another question I'm probably going to be asked:
Why are you including Cali? Out of all the OC's you could have given a second chance, you picked CALI?! WHY?!

Sooner or later, Beatrice and Jonas will face her in the story after Graves Protocol to settle the score for everything Beatrice and Jonas went through.

If you REALLY want me to add other OC's into it, I'll try to write the information about the Graves Protocol universe for everyone to contribute to... when I get time to do so that is.

Actually you know what here's the dialogue for that Cali encounter:
Cali: Hey! You! Can you help me with something?
Beatrice: Hm? Who are you?
Cali: Oh umm... Cali Smith...
Cali: I'm looking for Andrew Smith... he ran off again with Ashley Smith...
Beatrice: I think I saw him running down that alleyway to the left-
Beatrice: Wait... is that him?
Cali: It's him...
Cali: ANDREW! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!
Cali: You could have gotten hurt!
Andrew: F-forgive me Cali! Ashley was chasing after someone and I had to pull her back!
Cali's Ashley: FUCK ALL OF YOU HUSSIES! YOU TOOK HIM AWAY FROM ME!
Cali: Sigh... I'll deal with you later, Ashley.
Cali: Come on... I want to spend some time at the nearby park.
Andrew: And what do I do with Ashley?
Cali's Ashley: LET ME GO, HUSSIES MUST DIE!
Beatrice's Ashley: Wait... ANOTHER ASHLEY?
Cali's Ashley: S-STAY BACK!
Beatrice's Ashley: Hey! Wait! I'm like you! My Andy was taken from me by a hussy!
Cali's Ashley: Huh?! That must be a lie!
Beatrice's Ashley: Well who has Andy here and who doesn't?
Cali: Ugh... do I have to deal with two Ashley's now?
Beatrice: Just go... I'll deal with the Ashley's.
Cali: If it means I can finally have some time with my precious angel, then sure~
Cali and Andrew leave.
Cali's Ashley: Sigh... what now, other Ashley? Are you going to take my Andy away to replace your lost one?!
Beatrice's Ashley: No, I know he's still alive. I've been tracking down that hussy for months...
Cali's Ashley: Then why are you here?! My Andy is pushing me away for that stupid hussy!
Beatrice's Ashley: You want that hussy to disappear, right?
Cali's Ashley: You read my mind or something?! Of course I do!
Beatrice's Ashley gives Ashley a butterfly knife.
Beatrice: Ashley, can you really trust her?!
Beatrice's Ashley: She's like me, but with another hussy.
Beatrice's Ashley: As for you, Ashley. Use this to defend yourself from Cali.
Cali's Ashley: OOOOOO, a very fancy blade...
Beatrice's Ashley: I'll find my Andy one day... you on the other hand, you got some dirty work to do.
Cali's Ashley: HAHA! Guess us Ashley's are the same!
Cali's Ashley: Thank you, other Ashley! I'll deal with that hussy!
Cali's Ashley leaves.
Beatrice's Ashley: She's going to turn into one hell of a hussy slayer one day...
Beatrice: Hmm... if she doesn't get caught by law enforcement, that is.
Beatrice's Ashley: PFFT! Us Ashley's have an innate nature of evading the law!
Beatrice's Ashley: I'm sure she will do fine! She's just like me-
Cali: ASHLEY! PUT THE KNIFE AWAY!
Cali's Ashley: TRY THIS! HUSSY!
Beatrice's Ashley: Hehe... whoopsie daisy.
Beatrice: Y-you won't harm me for saving you from your parent's... r-right?
Beatrice's Ashley: Why would I? You're a special type of hussy!
Beatrice: As in?
Beatrice's Ashley: A hussy that cares about me being with Andy~
Beatrice: You've changed in some way...
Beatrice's Ashley: At least your still dating your current boyfriend! Hussy~
Beatrice: We're still finding yours, Ashley.
Beatrice's Ashley: Of course we are! I'll rescue my dear Andy from the evil hussy and be made a hero!
Beatrice: When the time comes Ashley... when that time comes...
Cali: UGH, I SHOULD HAVE LEFT YOU BEHIND! WHY ARE YOU ALWAYS TRYING TO TAKE ANDREW AWAY FROM ME?!
Cali's Ashley: STAY OUT OF HIS LIFE YOU BITCH!
Cali: SO WHAT?! HE'S MINE! ALWAYS MINE! NOT YOURS!
Cali's Ashley: YOU DARE USE MY WORDS AGAINST ME?!
Beatrice and Ashley: . . .
Beatrice: So uhh, want some ice cream? Jonas is waiting for us at the ice cream shop.
Beatrice's Ashley: Does it still have that stupid hussy flavored ice cream?
Beatrice: No, heard they got a new lemon flavor for the summer.
Beatrice's Ashley: OOOOOOOOO! Sure then!
Beatrice: Sure sure...
Beatrice: But... why did you hate that "hussy" flavor in the first place?
Beatrice's Ashley: Reminded me of that stupid bitch in a box...
Beatrice: At least the flavor is gone now.
Beatrice's Ashley: Just like all the Hussies that deserve to die~
Beatrice: What about me?
Beatrice's Ashley: H-hey! You're supposed to fear me!
Beatrice: Aren't I one from the very beginning?
Beatrice's Ashley: N-No... Y-you care too much about me being back with Andy...
Beatrice: I mean... I still have to help you. regardless.
Beatrice's Ashley: Of course you do... That made you my special hussy.
Beatrice's Ashley: I won't kill you, but you better stay alive for me to find Andy...
Beatrice's Ashley: And deal with that STUPID. FUCKING. HUSSY.
Beatrice: That time will come soon, dear. That time will come soon.

On a related note. I'm starting to lose steam in wanting to write this fanfic. I keep imaging my own OC's in every scenario that I want to have them play out in the fanfic and everything else regarding it. I'm trying my best to have some motivation to write but I feel like I'm at a dead end. At times it gets overwhelming to try and visualize what is going on. I'll still write those shorter fanfics that fit reddit but yeah... doing my best.

Will it all be a good ending? Heh... I doubt I can deliver that when I've seen people want good endings for OC x Canon... Both Beatrice and Jonas are guaranteed to be suffering mentally but like... I'll figure something out, but therapy is out of the question as they vehemently oppose it (until they eventually have to concede to it).
