Finally building the nerd PC of my dreams
This is my first time building a PC
- New build or upgrade?
New build
- Existing parts/monitors to reuse? (List with models/links)
Possible monitor https://a.co/d/haGxqDg
But will buy a new one if recommended
- PC purpose? (Gaming, editing, etc. List apps/games)
Gaming is a priority. I want to be able to play newer games, such as Silksong and the new Doom. 60 PFS seems reasonable, but higher is better as always, but I don't need anything over 120 FPS
Video editing is also a priority; I need something that can run Premiere Pro for extended periods without crashing.
- Purchase country? Near Micro Center?
USA, No
- Monitors needed? (Number, size, resolution, refresh rate)
Possibly, nothing too crazy, something that can run games and TV, and at a good rate. I don't need anything extraordinary.
- Budget range? (Include tax considerations)
1,000 to 1,400, with a maximum of 1,600
- Wi-Fi or wired connection?
whichever is cheaper, I have both Ethernet cables and Wi-Fi
- Size/noise constraints?
doesn't really matter, don't be massive and don't be a jet engine
- Color/lighting preferences?
RGB is preferred, as I want to be able to customize the look and feel of my PC. One day, I make it blue and red for Spider-Man, and the next, I make it gold and green for Master Chief, etc.
- Any other specific needs?
Semi-portable, I live in a dorm, so I have to be able to move it back and forth between my home and the dorm at least twice a year.
Quality and future-proof over everything. If I have to sacrifice a cool color or good looks for the ability to last me an extra year, I'll make that trade.
